Zak Hill PT, DPT, CSMT, CSCS obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in 2007. He has worked with a wide variety of patients and clients in his career ranging from general orthopedic problems to sport specific rehabilitation/performance training, pre and post-surgical orthopedic patients and also those with a wide variety of back, neck and nerve pain.
Prior to opening Hill Pro-Motion Physical Therapy in 2012, Zak served as an adjunct faculty member at Rockhurst University for 3 years where he co-taught a course in their physical therapy program “Manual Therapy for the Lumbar, Thoracic and Cervical Spine”. In addition to teaching at Rockhurst, Zak has had the privilege and honor of serving as an assistant with the International Spine and Pain Institute which provides continuing education for physical therapists. In addition to teaching, Zak has made presentations before fellow colleagues on various spinal conditions and has co-authored an article in the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy on Shoulder Impingement.
In addition to his certification in manual and manipulative therapy, Zak is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association – which he has been a member of since 2007.
Zak enjoys being active in sports, recreation and his church. He lives in Lee’s Summit with his wife Ashley, and sons Brooks, Beckett and Baylor.
